Raiders earn shutout on senior night

Senior Joaquin Merlo-Garzon '24 led the way with two goals and one assist as the Raiders rolled to a 6-0 victory over International Studies in front of the home fans to celebrate senior night. Seniors Noa Abboud '24, Tyler Mason '24 and Sebastian Masferrer '24 all added a goal of their own to open up a large lead at halftime. Junior Frankie Pines '24 rounded out the scoring for the Raiders with a goal in the second half. Defensively, goalkeepers Martin Piedrahita '24 and JJ Candib '26 combined for the shutout. The victory moves the Raiders to 5-6 on the season as they head into the final two weeks of regular season play. The team will get back to the practice field today as they prepare to host a palm league playoff game Thursday evening.
