Girls basketball wins in double overtime

Freshman Luisa Duarte '27 came up clutch knocking down two free throws late in double overtime to give the Raiders a lead they would not relinquish in a 67-63 victory over Calvary Christian. Junior Taylor Smith '25 provided fireworks of her own with six three pointers, two of which came late in regulation and overtime to tie the game on both occasions. Senior Gabby Pena' 24 was terrific with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and six steals including a free throw with one second left in the first overtime period to send the game to double overtime. From there the Raiders found a way to get stops on defense and convert timely baskets on offense to seal the victory. The Raiders will get back to the practice court today as they prepare for their final regular season game on the road at Terra Environmental tomorrow afternoon. Tip off is set for 4:30 p.m.
