Ransom Everglades Crew competes at FSRA South District Championship 2024

The waters of the Miami Sea Stadium Basin came alive with the thunderous oars and unwavering determination of Ransom Everglades Crew at the FSRA South District Championship Regatta this past weekend. With 15 entries across 14 events, RE Crew clinched multiple medals in an exemplary display of athleticism and teamwork. The morning skies witnessed the Raiders racing in sweep boats, with some intense boat racing, culminating in a silver medal triumph for the boys 3rd varsity 8+. Their razor-thin victory of just 0.1 seconds over Miami Beach Rowing Club left spectators on the edge of their seats. The Raiders' girls junior 4+ A crew kept the momentum surging, seizing a bronze medal, while their counterparts in the junior 4+ B valiantly claimed the 5th position in the same event. As the day progressed, the Raiders showcased their months of preparation in several sculling events. A bronze medal in the boys junior 4x, a silver medal in the girls ltwt varsity 2x, and a bronze in the boys varsity 2x added to the Raiders' morning haul. The crescendo of their afternoon resounded with a gold medal victory in the boys freshman 2x, a testament to their unwavering dedication and skill. The Raiders' girls crew freshman 8+ put the finishing touch on the team’s remarkable performance, claiming a well-deserved bronze medal. With their sights set on future regattas, RE Crew remains motivated as they prepare to unleash their final form at the upcoming FSRA Sculling States in Sarasota, Florida. Bolstered by their exceptional performance at the district level, they are primed to conquer new horizons. Finally, the Raiders celebrated seven seniors on this special day as they competed in their final home regatta of the season. Thank you for contributions to the program.
