Summer Internships

Student Internships at the Annual Internship Forum

Ransom Everglades helps students identify, apply for and arrange summer internships through its Summer Learning Through Internships and Mentoring (SLIM) program. Parents, alumni and RE friends have eagerly responded to calls to participate, allowing the school to offer students a wealth of compelling internship opportunities. Students who participate in internships present their summer work during a poster session at the annual Student Internship Forum, an on-campus event open to the community in January. Recent RE interns have worked at a real estate development company that utilizes artificial intelligence; analyzed the genetics behind autism and cleft lips; and worked on digital marketing. At each forum, students display and discuss their posters, field questions and encourage other students to seek out similar opportunities.

Ransom Everglades is seeking individuals, organizations, labs and others to provide project- or research-based activities for RE students for 4-8 weeks during the summer (between mid-June and early August). We especially value work with RE alumni and parents in all fields and in and out of Miami. If you are interested, please email SLIM Director Paul Natland ’02.
