Ransom Everglades alumni are invited to attend alumni events as well as student games, performances and evening activities.
Signature events each year include the annual holiday party, Alumni Weekend and REEF Fishing Tournament.
Mark your calendars for Alumni Weekend, April 24-25, 2026. We will celebrate all alumni, and also hold special get-togethers for those celebrating milestone reunions.

RE alumni medical professionals offer guidance to RE students
Ransom Everglades alumni in various medical fields – clinical care, enthrepreneurship and hospital leadership – shared their expertise with RE students during a multi-faceted career workshop on Sept. 9. Rheumatologist Elana Oberstein-Harris '93, physician Heidi Mason '96 and healthcare technology CEO Gonzalo Diaz '99 were joined by hospital director Yvonne Johnson-Phillips to help students understand what the future holds for the healthcare industry and how leadership, innovation, and compassion are shaping that future.Read More -
The RE Alumni Association bids farewell to the Class of 2025
Read MoreMembers of the Class of 2025 returned to campus in mid-August to pick up their RE Alumni YETIs before heading off to college and beyond. More than half of the class collected their alumni beverage container, a gift from the RE Alumni Association, marking the beginning of their lifelong journey as Ransom Everglades alumni. -
Students and alumni participate in food-and-supplies community distribution
Ransom Everglades alumni and members of the student-run Volunteer Service Council helped support some 300 local families that visited a food-and-supplies distribution at the Northside Shopping Center in Miami on September 6. RE upper school students donated hundreds of hygiene items and members of the Volunteer Service Council under president Angelina Febres '26 packed 150 bags for the community event. RE alumni joined students and professional community members on site, sharing the goods – and plenty of goodwill – with those in attendance as they lived out the RE core value of Service & Outreach.Read More -

William is founder and festival director of Coconut Grove Theatre Festival, which is returning in 2026. RE anglers compete in annual fishing tournament
Camaraderie, community and competition intersected at The 13th Annual Ransom Everglades Epic Fishing (REEF) Tournament, a fun-filled event on Biscayne Bay that drew 26 boats and anglers of all ages who had a great time trying to reel in the biggest catch. Photo GalleriesRead More -
Ransom Everglades recognizes prominent alumna and dozens of students
Ransom Everglades faculty members presented awards to dozens of students in Grades 9-11 for exemplifying the school’s core values and leadership during the Upper School Awards Ceremony on May 20, and Head of School Rachel Rodriguez named Cheyenne Range ’14 co-recipient of the Head of School’s Award for Distinguished Service to the School.Read More

Ransom Everglades Alumni Weekend 2025: A celebration of community and connection
Read MoreRansom Everglades School welcomed more than 300 alumni from the Classes of 1960 to 2020 for a weekend of reconnecting, reminiscing and reuniting during a spectacular Alumni Weekend 2025. The event attracted alumni from across the United States as well as Sweden and Switzerland, and it offered a range of community events on both campuses and across Miami on April 25-26.

Ali Salaverria Mejia found her passion for design and luxury pajamas at an early age. Inspired by her mother’s European sleepwear and its beautiful attention to detail, she started altering and redesigning clothing before she entered middle school. After pursuing a career in corporate finance, she left to co-found Eberjey, a trailblazing sleepwear and lingerie brand.Read More -
Faculty Emeriti Profile: Tom Dughi
Tom Dughi taught at Ransom Everglades for 25 years, from 1996 until his retirement in 2021. This English teacher extraordinaire found his passion for literature in college and spent his years at RE sharing that passion with the many students he taught.Read More

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
