Ten upper school students named to district honor band

Ten musicians from RE's Combined Symphonic Band were named to the 2023 District 20 Honor Band and performed on Jan. 21 at Westminster Christian School. The RE student-musicians are enrolled in RE's jazz band, RE combo or symphonic band classes at the upper school, and they train under faculty member Jon Hamm.  The district includes 10 of the top high school programs in South Florida.
The band was conducted by Barry W. Bernhardt, Director of Bands at Florida International University. The students rehearsed and performed on the campus of Westminster Christian Jan. 20-21, culminating in a 4 p.m. concert on Jan. 21. The students are:

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
