RE: What year did you graduate?
OJ: I graduated from RE in 2017.
RE: Extracurricular activities when at RE?
OJ: I participated in football, basketball, lacrosse, track and field and the Breakthrough Club.
RE: Where did you attend college?
OJ: I attended Tufts University for undergrad and graduate school.
RE: What was your major?
OJ: I majored in Environmental Studies and received a master's in Sustainability from the Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning department.
RE: What was your first ever job?
OJ: I started as an assistant to the sustainability coordinator at an architecture firm in Boston.
RE: When did you start working at RE?
OJ: I started working at RE this year.
RE: What’s your position?
OJ: Currently, I am a School Support Specialist, and I coach three sports. I pretty much do whatever they ask, and am happy to fill in where needed!
RE: What’s one of the best things you learned about yourself at RE?
OJ: I learned how to be authentic and use my skills to relate to other people.
RE: What’s it like being back on campus?
OJ: It's interesting being on the other end of the totem pole. This has given me a new-found respect for teachers. I appreciate their patience and dedication because I'm sure I was a handful to deal with.
RE: What is your favorite part of your job?
OJ: Getting to know different students and helping them navigate their new environment.
RE: Who was your favorite RE teacher and why?
OJ: Mrs. Abrante was my favorite teacher and advisor at RE. She was always there when I needed support, but I appreciate all the teachers who helped me along the way.
RE: What do you do in your spare time?
OJ: I enjoy playing sports. I recently joined a kickball league with some other alumni, and I also enjoy spending time outside in the sun.
RE: What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
OJ: What motivates me is the ability to get up and explore the endless possibilities the world has to offer.
RE: What is one of your favorite quotes?
OJ: "Every day is not a good day, but there is good every day."
RE: What book are you currently reading?
OJ: Currently reading Playing Nice, by JP Delaney
RE: Something your teachers would be surprised to learn about you?
OJ: I occasionally enjoy bird watching.
