The Nîmes exchange is intended to introduce students to French culture, language and life by living with a French family, attending classes at a French high school and visiting historic sites in and around Nîmes, France. This trip will take place from June 8 to June 19, 2019
. Ransom Everglades students later reciprocate, hosting students from Nîmes. In the fall of 2019, the French students will live with their exchange family, visit the Ransom campus, and take local day excursions.
is a unique city of 300,000 inhabitants located in the South of France about a half hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea. Nîmes' uniqueness stems from its origins as a Roman outpost complete with a preserved Roman arena, a temple and the most significant Roman aqueduct ever built - Le Pont du Gard
There are multiple historic sites to visit in addition to the beautiful city of Nîmes, with its quaint medieval streets and courtyards.
